Latest Wine Reviews

March 2020.  TOSQ recently submitted four vintages of its Pinot Noirs for up to date assessment by one of New Zealand's most respected wine critics, Bob Campbell MW, The Review.
All four of these single vineyard, estate grown wines received Silver awards.  Full reviews detailed below:

TOSQ Pinot Noir 2012  -  93/100
Lasted tasted three and a half years ago.  Still reasonably fresh and showing nice integration, although with slightly restrained cherry, floral and plum flavours.  Tasted in a vertical of four vintages, this wine (and the others) showed a clear vineyard imprint.
Drink 2020-2022

TOSQ Pinot Noir 2013  -  93/100
Last tasted two and a half years ago, this concentrated wine remains impressive with cassis, liquorice, plum & spicy oak flavours supported by prominent, drying tannins.
Drink 2020 - 2023

TOSQ Pinot Noir 2014   -  94/100
Last tasted a little over 2 years ago, this wine remains fresh & appealing with plum, spice and dark cherry flavours.  It is a concentrated pinot noir with a satisfyingly lengthy finish.
Drink 2020 - 2024

TOSQ Pinot Noir 2016   -  91/100
Tasted nine months ago - My tasting note included the tag: 'A little hard to read now but with good potential for bottle development'.  The wine has more concentration and fruit expression than I remember.  I like the structure and spicy characters that help give the wine its own distinctive personality, as does subtle tutti-fruity flavours from the carbonic maceration component.
Drink 2020 - 2023
