“There is a subtle application of wood on the spicy and floral-inflected dark berry fruit aromas. There is impressive richness and good verve to the attractively well-detailed and textured medium-bodied flavors that terminate in a velvety, clean and ever-so-mildly austere finish that delivers both good length and depth. I like the balance and this should repay mid-term cellaring”

“The 2011 vintage is a single-vineyard wine. Faintly pink, it is mouthfilling, with strong, ripe, tonefruit flavours of peaches and nectarines, hints of apricots and spices, a sliver of sweetness and considerable complexity. Fleshy, with good concentration, it’s drinking well now.”

"Pale pink colour with some depth and light purple hues on edge. The nose is fresh and bright with clean and aromatic aromas of raspberries and cream, red cherries, hints of fruit pastilles and red florals. Dry to off-dry in taste and medium-bodied, bright, crunchy and lifted raspberry and cream fruit flavours show with a delicate juiciness. Some confectionary nuances add to the sweetness. The fruit is balanced and guided by a fine-textured phenolic line that provides a crisp, thirst-quenching dryness to the mouthfeel, carrying the wine to an elegant, fresh, floral finish. This is an elegant, bright, rosé with raspberry and cream flavours and a fine-textured, dry palate."

“The 2012 vintage (4*) is an auspicious debut. Estate-grown at Pisa, in the Cromwell Basin, it was mostly tank-fermented, but a small portion of the blend was lees-aged in old oak barrels. The bouquet is gently spicy; the palate full-bodied and vibrantly fruity, with ripe, peachy, citrusy, spicy flavours that linger well. Dryish, with balanced acidity, it’s a very good ‘food’ wine, for drinking now or cellaring.”
